Pathways Overview

Program Pathways are a series of courses and experiences carefully selected to help you earn your credential and prepare for your career or university transfer. Program Pathway Maps guide you through quarter-by-quarter coursework, indicate when you’ll need to complete important steps, and describe popular careers in this pathway. Some course sequences or recommended courses can be customized or adjusted by speaking with an advisor.

PE Meets Personal & Professional Goals

With a goal of promoting lifelong interest in physical activity, wellness and emergency response, North's Physical Education department offers a variety of courses to match student interests, achieve personal and professional goals, and meet academic requirements.

Varied Student Needs

If you are completing an AA degree at North, you may apply 3 PE credits toward general elective needs and may also apply the 3-credit First Aid & Personal Safety course toward general electives.

If you need to complete first aid and CPR for jobs, you can take the First Aid & Personal Safety class, gaining more practice and practical application of the information than in a traditional one-day course.

If you wish  to meet personal health and fitness objectives, take activity classes for credit and numerical grade, for credit with a pass/no pass grade, or audit (no credit, no grade).

Running Start students wanting to finish high school PE diploma requirements can do so by enrolling in activity courses.
