Phi Theta Kappa

Who We Are

Phi Theta Kappa is the world’s most prestigious two-year honor society.  Its purpose is to recognize academic achievement and encourage scholarships and provide opportunities for them to grow as scholars and leaders.  To achieve this, Phi Theta Kappa provides opportunities for the development of leadership and service, an intellectual climate for the exchange of ideas and ideals, for lively fellowship for scholars, and for stimulation of interest in continuing academic excellence.  Academic research and service projects, networking with more than 3 million fellow scholars on more than 1285 campuses worldwide, personalized letters of recommendation, and access to online courses to build job skills are just some of the fulfilling aspects of joining Phi Theta Kappa.  Membership only costs $80 to unlock a lifetime of unique and fulfilling benefits.

The four pillars of Phi Theta Kappa are:

  • Scholarship-research projects and opportunities
  • Leadership-Opportunities for personal and professional growth
