SID - Student Identification Number
The college assigns a 9-digit Student Identification Number (SID) to every student who enrolls at North. (Prior to April 2002, social security numbers were used as the SID. North no longer uses the social security number as the SID.)
New Students: Once you have applied, you will receive your student ID within a week. Beginning winter 2012 new students can choose to use the same SID assigned by another Washington community or technical college. To use this option, students must provide their correct social security number during the application process. This option only applies to new students applying after 16-Dec-2011.
Lost or Forgotten SID?
Your Student ID is printed on your Student ID card. Check your card for a reminder.
If you have lost or forgotten your SID and/or PIN, you will need to visit the office in person with a picture identification or download the SID request form and follow the directions for submission on the form.
PIN - Personal Identification Number (password):
All students have a Personal Identification Number (PIN). The PIN is used for all inquiry functions and for quarterly registration purposes.
New Students: The College sets up your first PIN temporarily, based as your birthdate in the format MMDDYY. Example: If your birthday is March 18, 1955 then your PIN would be 031855.
Changing your PIN:
You will be able to use your temporary PIN to login and change it to a secure PIN number. Please do so at your earliest opportunity via the "PIN (Password) Change" option located on the Online Services page. All PINs are 4-6 numbers in length.
Lost or Forgotten PIN?
If you have lost or forgotten your PIN, you will need to contact the Admissions/Registration Office. For fastest service, we recommend you visit the office in-person with a picture identification.
