Registration

As you register for Fall 2021 courses, please be aware that, some class fee increases, and a tuition increase of 2.8% are anticipated for the 2021-2022 academic year. These rates were not finalized by the time registration opened for Fall quarter 2021. Please look for email updates that will provide additional information, and remember to check your student portal. Adjustments to your tuition and fees will reflect the final rates once those are available.

ctcLink ID (EMPLID) and Password Information

    • For current and returning students: If you do not remember your SID (old ID) when activating your ctcLink ID, please complete the SID Request form, which is available here.

Update My Student Contact Information

  1. Login into your ctcLink account.
  2. If you are or have been a student at more than one Washington state community college, click the college you want to log in to(select North Seattle College).
    • If you have only been admitted to or attend one college, go to step 3.
  3. Click on Student Homepage.
  4. Click on the Profile tile.
  5. Click on the tabs located to the left of the page and update the sections accordingly.
    • (i.e. Personal Details, Contact Details, Addresses, Emergency Contacts, Ethnicity, and Privacy Restrictions)

Common Courses

Confirm Online Registration Appointment (Date and Time)

  1. Go to the Class Search page.
  2. Click Log In on the left side of the page.
  3. Enter your ctcLink ID and password. Then click login.
  4. Click on the Enrollment tab located on the left menu of the page.
  5. Click on Enrollment Dates.
  6. Your upcoming shopping cart appointment (registration appointment) and Enrollment Appointment dates are shown on this page. Click the term for more information.

Register/Add/Drop Courses

Register/Add

  1. Login into your ctcLink account.
  2. If you are or have been a student at more than one Washington state community college, click the college you want to log in to(select North Seattle College).
    • If you have only been admitted to or attend one college, go to step 3.
  3. Click on Student Homepage.
  4. Click on the Manage Classes tile.
  5. Click on Class Search and Enroll. Then choose the Term from the dropdown menu and select your college for that term.
  6. Look up your classes using the course name, subject or keywords. Click the Enter/Return key to populate results.
  7. Select the course in which you want to enroll.
  8. Select the hyperlink from the Class row to view details and the class information page will display.
  9. Once you’ve decided which classes best fits your schedule, click the arrow on the right of the page to enroll.
  10. Follow the prompts to review the class selection. Click Next when you are done.
  11. Input your ‘Wait List’ preference or ‘Permission Number’ (if applicable). Click Accept when you are done.
  12. If you want to add the class to your shopping cart and continue to search for additional classes, select the ‘Add to Shopping Cart’ and then the Next button.
    • If you are done searching for classes and are ready to enroll, select ‘Enroll’ then the Next button.
  13. Review your selection. If you need to make a change, click the Previous button at the top right. If everything looks good, click Submit.
  14. A pop-up window will appear with the following message, ‘Are you sure you want to submit?’, click Yes to confirm.
  15. You will receive a message stating the class has been added to your schedule.

Who do I contact if I need a Permission Number?

  1. Students should reach out directly to the department for classes in:
    • Accounting
    • Watch Technology
    • Early Childhood Education
    • ESL, ABE, and GED 
  2. BAS students should contact the BAS Program Manager or BAS Advisor.
  3. International Students should email - IntlNorth@seattlecolleges.edu
  4. All other students should attend Zoom Drop-In Advising. Please see our availability here: Schedule An Appointment and other Advising Services | North Seattle College or submit an Advising-Contact Us form with proof of meeting prerequisites attached, see Contact | North Seattle College.

Drop/Withdraw

  1. Login into your ctcLink account.
  2. If you are or have been a student at more than one Washington state community college, click the college you want to log in to(select North Seattle College).
    • If you have only been admitted to or attend one college, go to step 3.
  3. Click on Student Homepage.
  4. Click on the Manage Classes tile.
  5. Click Drop Classes.
  6. Select the Term/College combination you want to view.
  7. Click the checkbox for the class(es) you want to drop. You can select more than one.
    • If you want to exit out this page, click the Exit button at the top left of the page.
  8. Once you select the classes, the Next button appears at the top right. Click Next to continue.
    • Click the Exit button to cancel dropping.
  9. Review your selected class(es). Then, click Drop Classes to continue.
    • Click Previous to go back or Exit to cancel dropping.
  10. A pop-up window will appear with the following message, ‘Confirm that the following class(es) are to be dropped?’. Click Yes to confirm the drop.
  11. You have successfully dropped the class.

Waitlist Status

  • You can view your waitlist status at the time of enrollment and through your ctcLink account here.

Deferred Tuition Payments

  • Login into your ctcLink account to enroll in and manage your NelNet Payment Plan (Deferred Payment Plan)

Pay Tuition Online

  1. Login into your ctcLink account.
  2. If you are or have been a student at more than one Washington state community college, click the college you want to log in to(select North Seattle College).
    1. If you have only been admitted to or attend one college, go to step 3.
  3. Click on Student Homepage.
  4. Click on the Financial Account tile.
  5. Click on Make a Payment under the Payments tab.
  6. Enter the amount you want to pay. Then click Next.
  7. Click Continue to Make Payment to pay by Visa or Mastercard.
  8. Enter your Billing Information and Payment Details. Then click Finish.
  9. Check the information and click Submit.

Enrollment/Degree Verification

  • Get up-to-date information on your enrollment and degree verifications at no charge with the Student Self-Service through the National Student Clearinghouse.
  • Print enrollment verifications for health insurance or other organizations, view your enrollment history, and print Good Student Discount certificates to obtain discounts on auto insurance, etc.
