Grading Equivalency and Transcript Legend

North's numeric grading is available on the District Policy - Progress and Grades web page. This is important because many high schools or colleges need to know how to convert the numeric grade to the letter grade. Also you will find definitions for non-traditional grading options commonly seen on transcripts.

Grades

North Seattle College uses a numeric grading system similar to the state’s other 2-year colleges and many universities. Below is how percentages and letter grades are translated into the numeric system.

>95% - 4.0, A89% - 3.4, B+79% - 2.4, C+69% - 1.4, D+
94% - 3.9, A88% - 3.3, B+78% - 2.3, C+68% - 1.3, D+
93% - 3.8, A-87% - 3.2, B+77% - 2.2, C+67% - 1.2, D+
92% - 3.7, A-86% - 3.1, B76% - 2.1, C66% - 1.1, D
