Transfer Admission Agreements
Students at Seattle Colleges have a streamlined and guaranteed route to bachelor’s degree through many universities through transfer admissions agreements. Students should check with their intended transfer institution for further details regarding any additional general education, major prerequisites, and admission requirements. Several examples are below.
- Through the Guaranteed Transfer Admissions Agreement, Seattle Colleges students qualify for guaranteed admission to Western Washington University if they:
- Complete either an Associate in Arts – Direct Transfer Agreement (AA-DTA) or Associate in Science – Transfer (AS-T) degree
- Earn a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
- Earn at least a 2.0 GPA in the last quarter before applying for admission and the final quarter before transferring
Students can estimate how courses taken at the Seattle Colleges will transfer to Western with the Transcript Evaluator and Course Equivalency Guide.
With Seattle U’s Redhawk Transfer Admissions Guarantee, students completing the Associate of Arts Direct Transfer Agreement degree (AA-DTA) or the Associate of Science-Transfer degree (AS-T) from a Washington state community college with a 3.0 or higher cumulative GPA who submit a completed, satisfactory transfer application with the required supporting materials are guaranteed admission to Seattle University. Admission into a specific academic program is dependent on specific program admission requirements and capacity and students applying by the quarterly application deadline. As such, the Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Bachelor of Science in Diagnostic Ultrasound programs are competitive and excluded from this guarantee.
