Community Mural 2016
Over the years, Spring Quarter has signaled mural making on NSC's campus. In keeping with the tradition, art faculty member, Kelda Martensen, and the 15 students in her mural art class produced original artwork on a College Center Building exterior wall in April, May and June. Student artists: Yikang Chenxiong, Katie Costinett, Jiacheng Dai, Rachelle Deforrest, Eric Frietag, Teal Hoffman, Xialong Jia, Lizz Johnson, Stephanie King, Brigita Lefrana, Dongjun Lim, Angela Mihm, Alison Post, Natasha Richardson, Xintong Tang. The winning design from the artist call for submissions—a depiction of magnified mosses and lichens—is the work of natural science illustrator Angela Mele.
