Career & Advancement
Many careers in the arts require completion of a bachelor’s degree. Community college is a good place to start on that journey – to get a solid foundation in art as a discipline, explore different media and build a portfolio.
Career options can include work as an entrepreneurial artist or a corporate designer, positions in art history or art education, or jobs in museums or art galleries.
But even if your goal is not the arts as a profession, a general knowledge of art enriches every area of life — providing personal pleasure and a deeper sensitivity to human culture as expressed through its art.
