About the Gender, Women, and Sexuality Studies Pathway

This pathway meets requirements for the Associate of Arts (AA) degree with an emphasis in Gender, Women, and Sexuality Studies. This sample schedule assumes a fall start. If you wish to take alternate courses not listed below please meet with a North advisor to confirm you're still meeting AA degree requirements.

This pathway meets requirements for the Associate of Arts (AA) degree with an emphasis in Gender, Women, and Sexuality Studies. Completion of this degree opens doors to a variety of careers in sectors including non-profit, business, government, entertainment, and education. It also allows you to transfer at the junior level into a Gender and Women Studies or related program at a four-year college or university.

Students in this pathway develop skills in critical thinking, writing and verbal communication, analysis and research, cultural competency and muticultural awareness, as well as collaboration, interpersonal communication, and leadership. Competencies in these areas consistently rank at the top of employer wish lists.
