2026 NSC Wellness Challenge
Hello Tree Frogs and Welcome to the 2026 NSC Wellness Challenge! Have you made New Year's Resolutions that you aren't quite keeping up with? Do you have a desire to implement some new healthy habits, but don't know where to start? Do you want to build community, connect with other colleagues and students and work together to create a healthier campus environment? Well, you are in the right place!
In this 5-week challenge, you will work together in teams to engage in as many healthy behaviors as possible. Each healthy behavior is assigned a point value. You will track your team's points and submit them each week. Based on feedback from last year’s participants, we will now accept teams of any size (2+) and your team’s average weekly points will be used to determine ranking, rather than your overall score.
The Wellness Challenge will begin on February 16th, 2026 and run until March 22nd, 2026. There will be two separate challenge brackets- one for students and one for faculty and staff. The teams in each bracket with the highest sum of weekly average points at the end of the challenge will be rewarded with amazing prizes including free RFWC memberships, swag, bragging rights, and gift cards for all winners (thank you, Dr. Rachel)! The 2nd and 3rd place teams will win a little something as well. So, go coax your colleagues and classmates into joining your team and complete the form below to get started! (Each teammate should fill out their own sign-up form.)

Challenge Rules
- Each member of your team must fill out their own sign-up form. Make sure to choose a team name and identify your team captain.
- Download the Wellness Challenge Point Key here. This document shows all the healthy behaviors that can earn you challenge points.
- All points must be tracked on your team’s Weekly Wellness Challenge Tracking Sheet, found here. Please make a copy and do not type directly on the sheet in the link. From there, you can share the document with your team members so each person can add their individual points.
- Your weekly ranking will be determined by calculating your team’s average point total each week. If a team member does not submit their points, their points must be counted as a zero and still be included in averaging the points. All teammates must be included in the team’s average each week.
- Every Monday, starting on February 23rd, your team captain must email your Weekly Wellness Challenge Tracking Sheet to Megan.Valerio@seattlecolleges.edu
- You can check this webpage each week to see a leaderboard that will display all teams’ point values and ranking.
- The challenge ends on March 22nd. All points must be submitted by 4pm on March 23rd to be counted.
- Winners will be announced on March 25th, 2026! Winners will receive a cash prize, free RFWC memberships, and swag! The 2nd and 3rd place teams will also receive a smaller prize.
- A post-challenge survey will be sent out on March 25th, 2026. Please complete the survey to help us determine how effective the challenge was at encouraging health behaviors and to provide your feedback.
