We recommend you obtain a comprehensive physical examination and consult with a licensed physician before beginning this or any exercise program. Fall Quarter Wellness Drop-In Classes

Classes begin October 5 and will end December 11.

Introduction to Yoga Philosophy and Meditation Wednesdays 12:00 pm
Each class we will study a small portion of ancient yoga philosophy, and then practice a meditation technique.  No experience required.  Suggested props:  chair, or firm pillow or cushion to sit on.  Instructor recommends beginning class with video on.

Yoga for Stress Reduction Thursdays 2:00 pm
In this class we will focus on grounding yoga postures to reduce stress, and specific breathing and meditation practices to help with anxiety and panic attacks.  Learn portable yoga techniques to use before a job interview, or an exam!  No experience necessary; however class may include standing and seated poses, and some weight bearing poses on hands.  Suggested props:  yoga mat, sturdy chair.   Instructor recommends beginning class with video on.

Body Positive Yoga Fridays 12:00 pm
Yoga has nothing to do with the shape of one’s body.  Yoga is for all sizes, ages and abilities.    Class will include setting intention, stretching and practicing postures, breathing techniques, and time to journal and/or meditate.   This is a way of experiencing the body that has nothing to do with appearance. Instructor is very experienced with a variety of variations and adaptations of yoga poses. No experience required.  Suggested props:  sturdy chair(s), blanket, a journal or notebook.   Instructor recommends beginning class with video on.

Trauma Informed Yoga Fridays 2:00 PM
Gentle yoga class, led by a trauma-informed trained yoga instructor, with focus on honoring student’s choice, agency and resilience.  All levels welcome, however class may include standing and seated poses, and some weight bearing poses on hands.   Suggested props:  yoga mat, sturdy chair/  Student's choice to have video on or off.

Ab Lab Tuesdays/Thursdays 3:00 pm
This is a 30 minute class designed to work your core, using a variety of exercises to train core stability, activation, dynamic movement, and functionality.

Full Body Fitness Mondays 11:00 am
This fitness class uses a combination of body weight exercises designed to work the entire body.  Cardiovascular fitness, basic strength, flexibility, balance, and core stability will be emphasized.  No equipment necessary.  However, floor space and possibly a mat would be helpful.

Nutrition Help Wednesdays 11:00 am
Have nutrition questions?  This is the class for you!  Whether you just need some help with healthy eating recommendations or are looking for ways to have more energy and feel healthier, come join us!  Class is designed to pop-in-and-out out as needed during the quarter to have your questions addressed.
