Completion Grant

North Seattle College’s (NSC) Completion Grant provides one-time financial support for students who are close to completing a certificate or degree and are experiencing an enrollment-threatening financial situation. Students within 1-2 quarters or 15 or less credits from completing a program may be eligible. The grant can be used for academic related expenses such as tuition, fees, books, academic supplies, and other enrollment related fees on a case-by-case basis.

Completion Grant Information

  • Must be currently enrolled or previously enrolled student of NSC. 
  • Must be paying in-state tuition or using an out-of-state tuition waiver. (Not available for international students)
  • Must not have any other sources of funding. (i.e., Financial Aid, Scholarships etc.)  
  • Need 5 to 15 credits to graduate. (can be adjusted on a case-by-case basis) 
  • Have taken at least 15 credits at NSC. 
  • Have a 2.0 GPA or higher. 
  • Be seeking their first degree or certificate, unless enrolling in a BAS Program. 
  • Cannot have received completion funding previously. (exception: students who received funding for an associate degree and are now seeking funding for a bachelor’s degree)

  • Students should include the full dollar amount that they are requesting for tuition, fees, textbooks, and other support needed for their final quarter. Please note that funding for the Completion Grant is limited and not guaranteed and not all the stated needs may be met by the grant.  
  • We strongly encourage students to explore all other means of covering the cost of their final quarter while waiting for a decision on the Completion Grant.
