Equity & Welcome Center Student Ambassador Essential Functions

Equity & Welcome Center Concierge – Greet, welcome and remind students to sign in; instruct/remind students to maintain social distancing practices and use and protective equipment (masks, etc.); tidy the Lobby, hallway, Multicultural & Gender Equity Lounge and Peacemaking spaces; clean the fridge/food prep area; remind students to follow Center guidelines; check in with Center staff to complete any tasks needed; and update the online Equity & Welcome Center (Canvas). - 35%

Cultivate a sense of belonging – Provide on campus and online logistical support, planning and coordination to the Student Affinity Group Presidents, Advisors and Community Partners. - 30%

Community Forums/Conversations - Co-plan/create, organize and provide logistical support for Monthly EDI Community Forums (on campus) and/or Community (online) - 20%

Professional Development – Attend weekly meetings, learn new technology skills (e.g. using Canvas) and other development as needed. – 15%

  • Additional Required Academic Components for all Work Study EDI Ambassadors:
  • Must be taking at least 3 credit hours during fall, winter, and spring quarter
  • Have and maintain a GPA of 2.0
  • Ability to read and write in English and engage with our community using conversational English skills
  • Meet all Work Study requirements according to the Office of Financial Aid
