The SchoolHouse Connection Youth Leadership and Scholarship

Description:

The SchoolHouse Connection Youth Leadership and Scholarship is one of the nation’s only national scholarship programs specifically serving youth that have experienced homelessness. The goal of the program is to provide financial assistance and staff and peer support to ensure that you are successful in getting to and through higher education and into the workforce.

Scholarship recipients will receive:

  • A $2500 Scholarship award
  • One-on-one support from SchoolHouse Connection Staff
  • Three all-expenses-paid trips

Eligibility:

  • You are currently residing in the United States. Note: undocumented applicants are eligible. 
  • You were born on or after June 1, 2004 
  • You will begin college (four year, community college, or trade school) for the First Time in 2025 (high school juniors or seniors planning to take a gap year) – not including dual-enrollment courses 
  • You experienced homelessness in the last six years 
  • NOTE: Students beginning college in 2024 would have applied for our program in 2023 and are not eligible for the current application cycle.
