Question: How long is the EMT program?
Answer: It’s one quarter long and consists of two classes.
Question: What do I need to do to get started with the EMT program?
Answer: You need to be a student at NSC with a ctcLink # and you need to attend a mandatory Information Session. See the EMT webpage for details on dates and times.
Question: What are the requirements to get into the NSC-EMT Program?
Answer: You must be at least 18 years old, you must be a high school graduate (or GED), and you must pass a Washington State Criminal Background Check. Additionally, you must attend a mandatory Information Session and you must successfully pass a mandatory Entrance Exam.
Question: How much does the NSC EMT Program cost?
Answer: The program costs approximately $1,500 - $1,600 per quarter.
Question: Are there any scholarships available?
Answer: Yes, some of the popular scholarships include: Medic One, Tri Med, Seattle Promise, and Veterans benefits. Past students have also received scholarships from local tribal sources, rotary clubs, and Americorps.
