Eligibility
North Seattle College students who meet all of the following criteria are eligible for funds:
- Currently enrolled in one of North Seattle College’s degree or certificate programs; enrolled in ABE, ESL, GED, high school completion courses; high school students participating in Running Start
- Students enrolled in classes this current school year (fall 2023, winter 2024, spring 2024, and/or summer 2024) can apply. This includes resident students, non-resident students, international students and undocumented students, including DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals).
- Students owing tuition for this current school year can apply. Note: Balances that are past due are only eligible if they are from this current school year.
Distribution of Funds
- NSC Cares are limited and are awarded on a case-by-case basis for the 2023-24 academic year until funding runs out. These funds are a last-dollar type of fund, meaning it will only cover outstanding tuition balances after all other grants and/or scholarships have been applied. If your tuition is fully covered by other grants and/or scholarships, you are not eligible for these funds. If your tuition is paid out of pocket or with loans, you will still be considered for these funds.
- Processing may take up to 6 weeks. Once we have received your application, a tuition payment hold will be placed on your student account within 2 business days.
- This grant does not need to be repaid and will not negate or replace any financial aid you may have already received
- You may reapply for this grant each quarter, as funds remain available
Need Help Applying for Financial Aid or submitting a request for income adjustment?
- If you have not yet submitted the FAFSA or WASFA, you may do so now by using the appropriate links below:
- The 2023-24 Financial Aid application uses income earned in 2021. If you experienced a significant decrease in your income since 2021, you can submit a Special Conditions - Request for Income Adjustment Form, which asks the Financial Aid Office to reevaluate your income level and eligibility for aid.
- Still need help? Reach out to us via email and we will setup a one-on-one appointment to help with any steps in the process, at FinancialAid.North@SeattleColleges.edu.
