Computer Basics Learning Assistant
Description:
The Opportunity Center is a unique multi-service center on campus providing education.
employment and social services for students and the community at-large. This is a public-facing, customer service role in a dynamic environment.
- Introduce customers to Northstar, a Digital Literacy tool offered through Seattle Public Library.
- Sign-in and track customers via our Google Form
- Help customers in understanding basic computer skills through the NorthStar program. Including but not limited to email, MS Office, Google docs and general Internet navigation on a computer/mobile device.
Students in this role will receive orientation to this role and have staff support.
Assist with other Opportunity Center tasks / projects as needed and requested

Minimum Qualifications:
- Positive people skills: warm, welcoming, empathetic, and patient listening & communication skills
- Comfortable and respectful in interactions with diverse population
- Good grasp of computer-based technology
- Fluent in spoken English
