These positions start in early September but there is an opportunity to help around the school with various tasks this Summer 23.

Are you passionate about working with children and creating a fun and engaging learning environment? The Perkins School is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic After School Program Teacher and Supervisor to join our team. We are a small, progressive K-5th grade elementary school that is dedicated to providing exceptional educational experiences for our students.

After School Care Teacher

Have fun helping supervise students in our after-school program. Bring your own interests and talents, help develop projects, and learn to manage and excite students with engaging activities.

This is a part-time position, 3-5 days per week with some flexibility on which days. Hours will be 3:00pm-5:30 or 6:00pm

School Support/After School Care Supervisor

Monday-Thursday 11:45am-6:00pm

During the regular school day, this position will have the opportunity to provide support to our Science and Library program, as well as help supervise our outdoor recess time. After school, you will work with the Program Director and help oversee our after-school program.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Support the students with their Reading, Writing, Math or any other projects they may have.
  • Supervise students during program hours, ensuring their safety and well-being
  • Assist the After School Program Director with planning and implementing engaging activities for the students. 
  • Facilitate and participate in recreational activities, games, arts and crafts, and other activities
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a smooth operation of the program
  • Organize and Maintain school library, science supplies and after school equipment

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working with children and after school program, camp, daycare, or similar setting is a bonus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff members
  • Energetic creative and enthusiastic approach to working with children
