Degrees & Certificates
North’s Accounting programs offer flexible pathways for students at every stage of their academic or professional journey. Whether you are starting a career in accounting, building specialized skills, or preparing for advanced study, North provides practical, career-focused education aligned with today’s business needs.
Students may begin with a Bookkeeping Certificate to develop entry-level skills, pursue an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) for immediate employment in accounting and bookkeeping roles, or earn an Associate of Applied Science–Transfer (AAS-T) designed to prepare students for seamless transfer into North’s Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) in Accounting with International Accounting (AIA).
For students seeking focused or advanced credentials, the Accounting Fraud Certificate develops skills in fraud detection, internal controls, and ethical accounting practices, while the Certificate of Accountancy and BAS degree support preparation for professional advancement and provide coursework applicable toward CPA educational requirements.
Graduates of North’s Accounting programs are prepared for entry-level accounting and bookkeeping positions, continued study at the bachelor’s level, and advancement toward professional accounting careers.
Accounting Associate of Applied Science Degree (AAS)
Two-year degree for students who want to start a career immediately after graduation.

Accounting Associate of Applied Science - Transfer Degree (AAS-T)
Two-year, job-training degrees that prepare students for immediate employment. Students take additional general education electives, making this a good option if you intend to transfer to a Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) degree program or may attend a university in the future to earn a bachelor’s degree.

Accounting Fraud Short-Term Certificate
With fewer than 20 credits, short-term certificate programs generally cover an entry-level or specific skill set needed for that industry. Credits earned in these programs may apply toward a next-level certificate or degree. Typically offered in a condensed time period.

Accounting with International Accounting Bachelor of Applied Science Degree (BAS)
