Earn Real Estate Degree & Specialty Certificates Along the Way

When the real estate market slows down, it’s a good time to get your education and be prepared for the next opportunity. North’s Real Estate Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree program gets you ready for the real estate field with a broad base of knowledge and training — including brokerage management, property management, appraisal, commercial and residential real estate sales, loan origination and processing, real estate investment, title insurance and/or escrow, and green real estate.

Program Pathway Map

Program Pathways are a series of courses and experiences carefully selected to help you earn your credential and prepare for your career or university transfer.  Program Pathway Maps guide you through quarter-by-quarter coursework, indicate when you’ll need to complete important steps, and describe popular careers in this pathway.  Some course sequences or recommended courses can be customized or adjusted by speaking with an advisor.

Variety of Classes

As you progress toward your degree, you can acquire certificates in the specialties of your choice: Basic Sales, Advanced Sales, Real Estate Investment and Commercial Sales, Real Estate Finance, Escrow, Appraiser Trainee, Property Management, and Green Real Estate.

Begin any quarter with RES 100 (Real Estate Fundamentals). This class provides an excellent overview of the various aspects of the real estate industry and is a prerequisite for many of the other real estate classes.

The more than 60 courses all meet or beat industry standards and state requirements. Conveniently scheduled for working adults on evenings and Saturdays, classes feature high quality content that is constantly being revised to offer cutting-edge information and training in real estate fields.

All courses are taught by industry experts who incorporate guest lecturers, hands-on projects, field trips and credit for outside activities. There is training on current industry software and a mature peer group (average age 38).

Financial aid is available for Worker Retraining through Workforce Education,  plus Real Estate program scholarships.
