Program Format & Class Schedule

The Application Development Bachelor of Applied Science program is offered as an evening hybrid program.

Hybrid Program
In the hybrid program, Application Development upper-division (AD) BAS courses are offered in the evenings and require students to be on campus once per week per class. Hybrid classes are a blend of in-person instruction and online instruction, which allows students valuable face-to-face time with an instructor, but limits the on-campus meeting time for each class. The hybrid program meets on variable nights for the entire academic year. Classes will only be held M-TH with never any Friday evening class days scheduled. AD courses begin at 6:00 p.m. and end by 8:40 p.m. Class schedules are subject to change, but the AD program works to maintain predictable class times and schedules. Classes are held at North Seattle College. If a student still needs general education and/or additional elective courses, these can be completed in whatever way is best for the student's schedule. Some students may prefer to take courses online; others may wish to take them during evenings or in the summer quarter, etc. It is recommended that those courses be taken through North Seattle College, but if the student has need to take the courses elsewhere and their funding will cover it, we will support them in doing so.

Part-time or Full-time
There is an option to take the program full time (10-15 credits per quarter) or part-time (approximately 10 credits per quarter with some quarters being only 5). Most students need 2-3 (6-9 quarters) years to complete if they have 100 or less credits transferring and work full time, especially if they still need to complete their pre-requisites. Students with more than 100 credits transferring in OR who work less than full time may be able to complete in 2 years.

The number of credits transferring in is determined by official transcript evaluation which takes up to 8 weeks to complete once all of your documents are submitted.
