Peer Leader-Funding Navigation
Role and Responsibilities:
- Help the Funding Navigator plan, promote, and host funding -related student events
- Develop program materials such as short videos, flyers, brochures, and social media posts
- Help raise awareness about Funding Navigation services through tabling, orientation, classroom visits, and other efforts
- Share thoughtful ideas and feedback on the Funding Access Steering Committee
Educational Benefit:
- Gain expertise utilizing technology (Zoom, social media, etc...) in a professional capacity
- Improve workplace communication skills, interpersonal skills, time management, and organizational skills
- Flexible work schedule to fit with college classes
Preferred Skills:
- Ability to work independently, be a self-starter, pay attention to details, and complete assignments on time
- Strong interpersonal communication and relationship building skills ( ability to connect with groups and individuals)
- Proactive attitude and work ethic including punctuality
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Passion for sharing your experience with funding access to help improve student services
- Familiarity with commonly used technology or social media
