Steps to Enroll in ABE

Enrolling in ABE, GED, HS21+ and College Prep classes is easy. Follow these five steps:

Apply in person or online.

To apply in person, visit the Admissions/Registration counter (second floor, College Center Building). Please bring a picture ID.

Admissions/Registration Office Hours:

Monday, Wednesday, Thursday: 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Tuesday, 8 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.

Friday: 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

To apply online, visit the Web Admissions Center.

Take the placement test. The ABE placement test is drop-in and free.

Go to the Testing Center (second floor, College Center Building).

Testing Center Hours:

Monday - Thursday 9 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Friday 9 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Saturday - Check the Testing Center Calendar

• The test takes three hours.

• After you take the test, you will sign up for an ABE orientation that fits your schedule.

Attend the ABE orientation, meet with your advisor, and register for your classes.

Start your class!

Tuition costs only $25 per quarter (11 weeks). To take ABE classes for $25 per quarter, you must be a U.S. citizen, have a green card, or be a refugee or an immigrant. If you have a different visa status, please contact the International Programs Office at (206) 934-3672.
