Counseling services are available during fall, winter, and spring quarter, with limited summer quarter availability. Counseling services are paused during quarter breaks.

If you need immediate support, please call 988 for mental health crisis assistance or text HOME to 741-741 to connect with a crisis counselor. For community resource referrals, please call 211.

Asian Counseling and Referral Service

About: Providing comprehensive adult mental health services to promotoe whole health by addressing physical, mental, and social well-being. Services may include case management, individual, group and family therapy and counseling, psychiatric evaluation and medication management. Must be 18 or older.

Languages: ACRS provides free language services to people whose primary language is not English such as qualified interpreters and information written in other languages. 

Payment/Insurance: Depending on eligibility, most services are offered free of charge or provided on a sliding-scale based on family size and income. ACRS also accepts many forms of insurance.

About: Supports families and communities with raising healthy, successful children and youth through direct services like case management, culturally relevant behavioral health, in-home early learning services, youth and education support, family support groups, and services for gender-based violence for low-income communities of color, immigrants, and refugees. Kent location offers additional behavioral health and early learning programs.

Payment/Insurance: Free counseling services are available to anyone already enrolled in Medicaid or eligible to receive Medicaid funding. Our team can help you apply for this benefit. We do not accept private insurance.

Consejo Counseling and Referral Services

About: Provides programs for transitional housing, domestic violence and sexual assault, as well as children, youth and family services, mental health, substance use disorder treatment, and complementary medicine program and primary care. Call for an intake. 

Languages: Primarily serves Spanish-speaking population

Payment/Insurance: Sliding scale fees. Accepts private pay, insurance, third-party payment and WA Apple Health (Medicaid).

Navos Mental Health Wellness Center

About: Intensive outpatient treatment and mental health treatment for King County residents. Treatment for chemical dependency. Does not offer detoxification or inpatient services. Family and child intensive therapy services, outpatient therapy, case management, infant mental health services, information and referral, counseling. Apply Health (Medicaid) is required. Call for intake, early morning is best. 

Payment/Insurance: Navos is an approved provider for Medicaid/Apple Health and Medicare. Call for alternative payment options if you don’t have insurance.

About: Beneficial for people who are experiencing an acute mental illness and require intensive 24-hour care to stabilize their condition. Develops treatment plans, which promote stability and maximize daily functioning. Services include counseling, therapies, nutrition, pharmacology, spirituality, and outpatient consultations. Serves patients 18-64 years old. Offers 22 beds and quiet rooms.

Insurance: Swedish accepts these insurance plans, several of which are Apple Health (medicaid) plans, offers financial assistance for those who cannot pay

About: Treatment focusing on mental health and substance use disorders is individualized and can be provided by staff ranging from therapists to peers to specialty or program staff.
