Jillian Fisher (she/her)
Hello, I’m Jillian Fisher and use she/her pronouns. I am an Academic Advisor and have been working at North for just about 8 years. My caseload consists of working with students in the Arts, Design & Graphics and Social Science, Humanities & Language Areas of Study.
I have had the great fortune of working in the field of education throughout my career. Prior to working as an advisor at North, I spent 10 years as a high school counselor and before that I worked with students in the world of non-profits. I have a BA in Sociology and an MA Ed in School Counseling. All of my work has focused on being a support and advocate for students. I also have extensive experience helping new students navigate educational systems through my work on New Student Orientation, First Year Experience, and First-Generation student support.
I am a native Washingtonian and grew up on beautiful Whidbey Island. I live in Seattle with my husband, one dog, two cats, and 4 chickens. In my free time I love to bake, read, hike/backpack, watch women's basketball (both professional and college), and listen to podcasts.
