Prerequisites

Applicants must have completed an associate degree with a 2.5 or better, including a 2.5 or better in all IT-related courses.

The following prerequisites should also have been completed with a 2.5 or better. The program draws students from all three of the Seattle Colleges (as well as others), so prerequisite classes are listed below for North, Central and South Seattle Colleges.

Programming (10 credit hours)

• 5 credits of object-oriented programming strongly recommended  

North – CSC 110, CSC 142
Central - CSC 110, CSC 142, ITC 110,  ITC 115, ITC 172, or ITC 240
South - CSC 110, CSC 142

Database Development / Programming in SQL (5 credit hours)
North - IT 125
Central - ITC 220 or ITC 222
South – N/A

Web Programming / Development (5 credit hours)
North – IT 102 – JavaScript recommended (IT 111 – HTML will be accepted as well)
Central - WEB 110 or ITC 240
South – N/A

Prerequisites - General Education

Quantitative/Symbolic Reasoning (QSR) (5 credit hours)

• College-level Math

(QSR course in computer science, statistics, or mathematics – statistics recommended)
North, Central, and South - MATH& 146 or BUS 210

Communication Skills (5 credit hours)
• ENGL& 101
