Child Care Specialist 1
Description:
- Support lead teachers working with children 18 months – 5 years
- Prepare materials and equipment under the direction of a teacher or program manager
- Assist with preparation, presentation and clean up of projects and activities such as art projects, bulletin boards, outdoor activities
- Assist in serving and cleaning up after snacks and lunch, assist in child guidance, monitor rest time, assist in transitions between activities
- May prepare food for children, clean food preparation area, wash dishes
- May launder children’s bedding as well as disinfect classroom toys
- May assist in organizational or administrative support tasks under the direction of program manager
- Assist with the maintenance of a healthy, safe, developmentally appropriate environment
This position is good for Summer 24, Fall 24, Winter 25, Spring 25

Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be able to pass a Portable Background Check with the Department of Early Learning.
- Proof of a negative TB test ( Mantoux).
- Good physical health and able to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Demonstrate good team building skills and willingness to learn new skills.
- Obtain a Washington State Food Handlers Permit.
- Obtain Child/Adult First Aid/CPR/AED certificate
- Obtain Initial Training Requirement through DCYF
