Office Assistant - Student Success Center 

Description:

This position will be responsible to assist the Student Success Center, which includes Advising, Completion Coaching, Counseling, Disability Services, Running Start and Seattle Promise departments. The office assistant will provide customer service, support a welcoming and professional environment, handle student inquiries, and perform general office/receptionist duties, such as appointment scheduling, answering incoming calls, light typing, photocopying, stuffing packets, and duties as assigned.

Strong communication and customer service skills are preferred and knowledge of the campus is recommended. Individuals must be flexible, able to work in a dynamic environment, communicate and work respectfully and effectively with persons from diverse backgrounds, such as racial, ethnic, religious, linguistic, gender, age, sexual orientation, socio-economic, and with diverse physical and learning disabilities.

Employees will also learn how to work in a fast-paced environment and help create systems and structures to address a high student volume while providing additional support to Student Success Center staff. Minimum Qualifications:

Previous office experience, professionalism and customer service experience.

Preferred qualifications: familiarity with North Seattle College’s academic programs and locations of offices/services, Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Powerpoint), ctcLink and Starfish
