Description:
The barista will provide staffing and customer service for the Lilypad Cafe. This position will greet and serve customers drinks and pastries.
Responsibilities include:
- Preparing coffee and espresso drinks.
- Prepping ingredients and keeping coffee and drink products stocked.
- Restocking and serving pastries from front case.
- Keeping workplace clean and follow food safety guidelines.
- Perform cleaning and side duties during down time or as assigned.
Barista will maintain a clean work environment and report any equipment or facilities issues to the lead or manager.
Educational Benefit:

- They will gain experience working with customers and the public as well as technical coffee and espresso skills.
- They will also learn collaboration and workplace communication.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Candidates should be reliable, friendly, detail oriented, and able to stay calm under pressure.
- Previous barista experience is not required but preferred.
- A Washington State Food Handler’s card will be required for the role.
- If you do not possess one yet, it will be paid for by NSC Food Services.
