Classroom Management
Classroom Conduct
In an educational setting, students are expected to follow community standards set by the instructor of the class as well as the Student Conduct Code. Student conduct which disrupts instruction may be referred to the Student Conduct Officer for disciplinary review or to the campus CARE Team for an evaluation.
The following behaviors are just some examples which may be considered disruptive:
- Student makes loud or distracting noises during class
- Student refuses to comply with faculty direction
- Student walks in and out of class continuously
- Student has aggressive emotional reactions
- Student makes rude comments others
- Student consistently interrupts instructor with irrelevant questions
If a student is so disruptive that it is difficult to maintain classroom decorum, the instructor may remove the student from the day’s class session.
Any questions related to classroom conduct may be directed to the Student Conduct Officer, Michael Chen (Michael.chne@seattlecollege.edu).
