Discipline Description

Anthropology is the holistic study of humans. It is typically divided into four subfields: Biological Anthropology (humans as great apes), Archaeology (artifact retrieval and analysis, and prehistoric cultures), Cultural Anthropology (contemporary and future cultures), and Linguistic Anthropology (language as a part of culture).
