Katherine has worked at North Seattle College since October 2024. She obtained her BA in Geography with a Certificate in Geographic Information Sciences (GIS) from Western Washington University’s Department of Environmental Studies, and her Masters in Educational Studies (Society, Cultural, and Politics in Education Concentration) from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. Her favorite coursework as a student was geovisualization, environmental philosophy, and the natural history of the Salish Sea.
BE-STEM students are invited to check in with Katherine on academics, professional development, accessing on and off campus resources (e.g. housing support, counseling, tutoring), and navigating the university transfer process. Note: For anything related to Degree Planer, registration, and course-codes, please schedule an appointment with Academic Advising.
In her free time, Katherine enjoys live music, visiting museums, trying new restaurants, and art classes, including saori weaving and ikebana.
