The goal of BE-STEM is to help students achieve success in STEM majors and careers. Students are eligible to participate in BE-STEM if they meet the following criteria:

• Underrepresented in STEM – Women, veterans, students with disabilities, Students of Color, and First-Generation Students
• Enrolled in classes at North Seattle College
• Pursuing a STEM transfer degree with the goal of transferring into a STEM bachelor’s program –Application Development, Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology, Information Technology, Mathematics and Physics
• Pursuing a STEM professional technical degree, or certificate with the goal of entering the STEM workforce – Electronics Technology, Electronics Engineering Technology and IT Controlled Electronics
