Online New Student Orientation

Welcome to North Seattle College.

Your next step is to complete the online New Student Orientation. Our New Student Orientation will prepare you for your first quarter at the college by connecting you with services, resources, and tools for success.

To access the New Student Orientation, follow these two steps:

1. Log into the Canvas website. (Hint: you will need your ctcLink ID# and password. This information was provided to you in your acceptance letter via email.)
2. After you have logged into Canvas, click the “Enroll in Course” button.

Who is required to complete the online New Student Orientation?

The online New Student Orientation is required for all new certificate and degree-seeking students enrolling at North Seattle College with the exceptions listed below.

1. The following programs have separate orientations. If you are enrolled in one of these programs, you are welcome but not required to complete the online New Student Orientation.
   • Basic and Transitional Studies (ABE, ESL, GED, etc.)
   • Continuing Education
   • International Programs
   • Running Start
   • Seattle Promise
   • BS/BAS Programs (bachelor's degrees)
2. If you have completed the online New Student Orientation at South Seattle College or Seattle Central College, or if you have a completed associate or bachelor's degree, you are eligible to bypass the online New Student Orientation.

We are excited to announce that starting Fall 2025, our New Student Orientation will be offered online! This will allow students to complete the orientation at a time and place that works best for them.
