New Student Orientation

Winter Quarter

Wednesday, December 11, 2024 from 1pm-4:00pm                 
North Seattle College

Whether you are a new student, new to campus, or coming back to North after a break, join us for New Student Orientation! All students, from high school completion to Bachelor of Applied Science, are strongly encouraged to attend.

At orientation you will:

✓  Connect with campus departments and resources like financial aid and advising         
✓  Learn more about your area of study              
✓  Meet faculty and other students               
✓  Enjoy lunch together and get some Tree Frog swag! 

Schedule

• 12:45-1:00pm: Check in at the TRiO Center (room CC 1349A campus map) 
• 1:00-1:30pm: Welcome & Opening Session
• 1:30-2:15pm: Area of Study Sessions (What is an Area of Study?)
• 2:30-3:00pm: Faculty Panel
• 3:00-3:30pm: Workshops
• 3:30pm-4:00pm:  Closing Session
  • Get guidance on next steps and win giftcards!
• *OPTIONAL* 4:00-5:00pm: Drop-In Services
  • You are welcome to stay a bit later to take advantage of a campus tour or personalized drop-in assistance from: Admissions/Enrollment, Financial Aid, WorkForce Education, and/or Advising  

Future New Student Orientation Dates

• Spring 2025: Wednesday, March 19, 2025 1-4:30pm
• Summer 2025: Wednesday, June 18, 2025 1-4:30pm 

While we strongly encourage you to attend the whole event, we realize that might not work with your schedule, so please feel free to attend as much of the afternoon as possible.
