NePage Scholarship (for Nursing & ECE Programs)
The Ida Mary L. and Ervin R. NePage Foundation is established by the Ervin R. NePage Trust and is administered by the Trust Division of U.S. Bank of Washington.
The purpose of the foundation is to grant scholarships to worthy students attending Seattle Colleges who are enrolled in Nursing or Social Sciences (including Early Childhood Education). (*At NSC Nursing & ECE are the only eligible programs.) In accordance with the trust provisions, the scholarship grants may be used by the recipients for tuition, room & board, clothing, uniforms, transportation, books, laboratory fees and supplies, without accounting in any manner to the Scholarship Board. This scholarship is unique because it is awarded for the current 2016/2017 academic year.
Applicants must be enrolled full time (Nursing & ECE can be part-time) and must have completed at least one quarter in the above listed field of study at a Seattle College in order to apply for the scholarship. References from two instructors and a copy of grade transcripts must be submitted for consideration. Transcripts can be unofficial.
Be sure to confirm with the Registration/Admissions Office that your intent code is for the Nursing or ECE program on your class schedule.
The amounts of the scholarship awards will vary. A student granted a scholarship may also apply the following year. The applications are to be completed and returned to the Financial Aid office at NSC.
The members of the Selection Committee and their families and any relatives of persons employed by the Trustee, U.S.Bank, are excluded from eligibility for any grants from the NePage Foundation.
Complete packets include: Application, 2 instructor recommendation forms and North Seattle College transcripts (unnofficial copies are OK). Scholarship award recepients will be notified and awarded by the end of May 2017.
- Enrolled during the 2016/17 academic year at NSC.
- A Nursing or Early Childhood Education (ECE) student currently in the program. Prerequisites DO NOT count. If you are in the program next year, please apply when the scholarship becomes available again in the 2017/18 school year.
- NOTE: **It is important that you confirm with the admissions/registration office that the intent code is correct on your program schedule as in a Nursing or ECE program.
