NSC offers both quarter-long programs and short-term programs ranging from 2-4 weeks*. The programs listed on this website are managed and supported by NSC and affiliated organizations.
Programs vary in destination, length, subject matter and cost, but all programs have been selected because they offer students opportunities to experience the world in new ways.
*Please note that program offerings may change—old programs may not be available and new programs may not be listed yet. Please contact the study abroad coordinator as soon as possible if you are interested in participating in a program.
These programs work directly with North Seattle College to provide study abroad opportunities to students. For all NSC-sponsored programs you will need to apply through the NSC Study Abroad Coordinator.
NSC is a member of the Washington Community College Consortium for Study Abroad (WCCCSA). Sixteen community colleges currently comprise WCCCSA. WCCCSA programs partner with third-party providers in order to provide specially tailored programs for first-time to experienced international travelers. Our membership in WCCCSA allows NSC students to register for classes on campus with credits earned going directly onto the student's NSC transcript.
Since joining WCCCSA in 2008, students have participated in study abroad programs to Costa Rica, Peru, Italy, England, Ireland and Spain.
Find out more about the current programs offered through WCCCSA here.
Green River College
Green River College sponsors two programs in partnership with WCCCSA. Because North partners with WCCCSA and GRC, you will register for classes on North’s campus with credits earned going directly onto your transcript.

Students may search and apply for programs that are not affiliated with NSC. There are a lot of options for programs; however, NSC Study Abroad cannot guarantee credit transfer, opportunities for funding, program quality or safety. It is important to remember that students who participate in non-credit-bearing programs are not eligible to use state and national financial aid for these programs.
If you are interested in a non-NSC-affiliated program, please contact the study abroad coordinator.
Program costs are subject to change pending fluctuations in currency exchange rates or the number of participants in a program. We will try to note this possibility whenever possible. Please be aware that most program fees DO NOT include NSC tuition, student fees or airfare.
