Emergency Department Technician Program

Have you considered working in an emergency department? Are you a nursing assistant-certified (NA-C) ready to take the next steps in your career? Choose a career as an Emergency Department Technician (EDT).

An EDT functions under the supervision of an RN within an emergency department. As an EDT, you will deliver a variety of nursing-related and personal services in the department, focusing on administrative and clinical procedures. An EDT assesses and manages a wide range of emergency situations, including trauma, medical and cardiac.

You can work and go to school by taking EDT classes just two days a week. Taking 20 credits you can finish in approximately two quarters if you already have an NA-C certificate.
