Education Fund

The Education Fund operates nearly 100 different scholarship, program, department and endowment funds, supported by contributions from corporate and individual donors. In 2013-2014, the Education Fund raised $447,000 in donations and grants.

For the 2014-2015 academic year, the NSC Education Fund has provided nearly $300,000 in scholarships for 88 students. Over 240 students applied for scholarships from the Education Fund.

Additionally, the Education Fund oversees two specialty scholarship programs: HS Persistence (for recent high school graduates),  and ESL Bridge (for ESL students transitioning into college-level English). In 2013-2014, these programs provided approximately $115,000 in assistance to 92 students.

The Education Fund also awards nearly $20,000 annually in faculty and staff mini grants to support professional development, equipment, and special projects which may not always be covered by department budgets.
